cProjects (Collaboration Projects) is an easy-to-use, intuitive Web-based SAP application for project planning, scheduling, resources management and costing across internal and external partners. Application is powered by SAP® Net Weaver™ that integrates project management, knowledge management and resource management in collaborative inter-enterprise and intra-enterprise environments. Its Web Browser user interface requires minimum training for occasional users. The application supports flexible project management and team collaboration. It provides project structuring capabilities (project definition, phases, checklists and tasks), roles-based resource management, flexible authorization control and scheduling functionalities, in conjunction with broad project management and monitoring features. cProjects provides a broad set of project planning and management, resource management, and task execution capabilities in a secure web-based collaborative environment. Predefined templates, project versioning, project reporting and analysis are all provided along with time reporting that can be integrated into your enterprise financial system.
Standard project accounting integration (SAP ECC):
Integrating cProjects with SAP controlling object (PS or internal order) helps in project cost estimation for arriving at quotable amount and analyzing project profitability during project execution. Timesheet interface enables further in comparison planned vs actual effort/ cost and also in recognizing revenue based on the fixed price or T&M contract signed with the customer.
